Safe Non-toxic DIY All Natural Baby Powder

In my search to find a natural baby powder for Varian’s booty, I was rather disappointed by the list of ingredients I continually found on the bottles. It’s just baby powder! Why the need for all the extra garb?!

I went to all the popular stores, searched all the organic baby and natural baby sections and even well known brands added fillers that I don’t want touching my skin, let alone my baby’s. The search online began to find a variety of different powders used for the specific purpose of freshening up my baby’s behind, powders used for the skin and voíla…..

I even had 3 of the ingredients on hand. Skip the fancy name brand stuff, save a few dollars, and take 5 minutes to make this for your mini me! Pack some up for the in-laws, sitters, and diaper bags!

1/2 Cup Bentonite Clay powder

1/2 Cup Organic Arrowroot powder

5 drops Lavender essential oil

5 drops Tea Tree essential oil

Empty powder container

• You can make the batch as large as you want and store the extra powder in mason jars in a cool place. Next time you’re out, all you have to do is refill your powder container.

• Use gentle and neutral essential oils. Lavender and tea tree both have soothing, antibacterial, and healing properties. Any combination of Lavender, Tea Tree, Roman Chamomile, Frankincense, Geranium, is fine – try to stick to no more than 3 max per batch. I would avoid peppermint, and any cooling or hot oils as they could be overpowering to their sensitive skin.
